Overview

ShotLogic ("we", "our", "the app") is an AI-powered photography assistant for iOS. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it.

Data We Collect

  • Account information — If you sign in with Apple, we receive the name and email you choose to share (Apple may provide a private relay address). If you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and display name. If you use anonymous sign-in, no personal information is collected.
  • Photos you submit — When you use Snap & Ask, your photo is sent to Google Gemini for scene analysis. We do not store your photos on our servers. Photos are processed in-memory and discarded after analysis.
  • Voice queries — Audio from voice input is processed on-device using Apple Speech Recognition. Only the transcribed text is sent to our services.
  • Gear sets — Camera body, lenses, and accessories you configure are stored in your account to personalize recommendations.
  • Usage data — We store queries and favorites to improve your experience. This data is tied to your account and not shared with third parties.
  • Waitlist email — If you join the waitlist on our website, we store your email address to notify you about launch updates. We do not sell or share your email.

Third-Party Services

  • Google Gemini AI — Processes scene photos and text queries to generate photography advice. Subject to Google AI Terms of Service.
  • Supabase — Hosts our database and authentication. Data is stored in a secured PostgreSQL instance with row-level security.
  • Vercel Analytics — Collects anonymous website usage metrics (website only, not in the iOS app).
  • Microsoft Clarity — On this marketing site only, may record session replays and heatmaps to improve the page. See Microsoft's privacy statement.

Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL) with row-level security enabled on all tables. API keys are never exposed in client-side code. We use the Supabase anonymous/publishable key for read-only access and enforce authentication for all write operations.

Your Rights

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the Profile screen in the app (Profile → Delete Account). Your profile, gear inventory, favorites, and query history will be removed immediately. You can also contact us at hello@shotlogic.app for assistance.

Children's Privacy

ShotLogic is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
